GCSO 2018 Seed Grant Program

The 2018 Seed Grant Program supports GCSO’s mission: to implement and scale solutions to sustainability challenges.


$450,000 USD is available in 2018 to seed fund projects that implement and scale sustainability solutions.

Submission Guidelines: The project must implement and/or scale a fully developed solution, and engage an implementer (e.g. government, NGO, school, industry). Projects are required to include the collaboration of two or more GCSO member universities.

Eligibility: Faculty, staff and researchers of GCSO member institutions are eligible to apply, provided their submission is supported by the university’s official GCSO member representative.

Process and Deadlines: The proposal process will be conducted in two stages: Stage 1. Submission of an initial Letter of Intent (LOI); and, Stage 2. Submission of a Full Proposal (by invitation only). Awards will be announced and distributed in June 2018. Projects must begin no later than July 1, 2018 and be completed by June 2019.

    Stage 1. Letter of Intent (Required): Applicants must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) by 5:00pm MST on February 28, 2018 via InfoReady at https://asu.infoready4.com/. Alternate submission methods will not be considered.

    Stage 2. Invited Full Proposals: Full Proposals are due via InfoReady by 5:00pm MST on April 25, 2018.
